Safety Leadership for Non-Executive Directors
Non-Executive Directors (NEDs) provide an additional layer of oversight to the organisation, ensuring that safety remains a top priority. Our experienced team is equipped to support NEDs in developing their safety leadership skills and understanding their roles and responsibilities.
Non-executive directors will not have the day-to-day knowledge of the company’s business and will not see all the information available to management, which is why they must have the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience to know how to effectively challenge the executive directors and offer independent judgement.
Too often NEDs rely on the information offered by the Exec and Management teams, or on non-expert external audits which are not suitable or sufficient leading to false assurances around the H&S performance of the organisation. In our experience, the majority of these false assurances come to light when it is too late.
